Schritt für Schritt
Liebe SIDizens,
Dr. Fabian Humpert kennt ihr ja ("Klimaschutz ist Wirtschaftsförderung”, S!Dweekly#007). Im September hatte der Rat der Stadt Verl einstimmig beschlossen, bis 2029 als erste deutsche Kommune klimaneutral zu werden. Das soll unter anderem durch eigene Erneuerbare Kraftwerke erreicht werden. Das Programm dazu heißt Verler Innovationsprogramm Energie und Ressourcen: VIPER_2029.

Anfang des Jahres wurde eine Potenzialstudie auf den Weg gebracht, um mögliche Freiflächen für Erneuerbare Erzeugungsanlagen zu finden. Landbesitzer waren aufgerufen, ihre Flächen einzureichen. Vergangenes Wochenende wurde diese Studie abgeschlossen. Die Ergebnisse werden nun durch das Planungsrecht gefiltert, um die besten zulässigen Flächen zu finden (Autobahn- und Schienenrandstreifen, alte Gewerbegebiete Konversionsflächen, bauliche Anlagen etc). Spoiler: Es sieht wohl ganz gut aus.
Dazu hat Verl Landwirte und Grundstückseigentümer eingeladen, um über VIPER_2029 zu sprechen und den Plan vorzustellen, eine Energiegenossenschaft für Verl zu gründen. Die Genossenschaft soll sicherstellen, dass das Gemeinwohl über den Einzelinteressen steht. Über 200 Leute sind Anfang November ins rappelvolle Pädagogische Zentrum gekommen. Dort wurde kontrovers diskutiert. Fabian hat berichtet, dass die Resonanz insgesamt positiv ist und die Mehrheit gerne mitmachen möchte.

Das alles ist deswegen bemerkenswert, weil es so einfach ist: Einen Plan machen, Bürger um Mitarbeit bitten, eine Datengrundlage schaffen und bewerten, Ergebnisse teilen, offen diskutieren, um Zustimmung ringen. Das kann Fabian, und das kannst Du auch. 🫶
Fabian ist am 26 Januar in Lübeck und wird uns aus erster Hand berichten. Sein Ziel ist ambitioniert: Bis zum S!D23 soll die Energiegenossenschaft stehen. Im Optimalfall sind auch schon die besten Flächen identifiziert. Wir werden ihn fragen und drücken die Daumen.

Podcast der Woche
Im Utility 4.0 Podcast von Timo Eggers habe ich gelernt, wie wichtig die Verteilnetze für die Verkehrs-, Wärme- und Stromwende sind. Denn die ganzen Solaranlagen, eAutos und Wärmepumpen stehen ja irgendwo rum und verändern die Last. Leider werden die meisten Verteilnetze komplett blind gefahren. Gut ist, dass man das mit überschaubarem Aufwand ändern kann, besser ist es, dass zwei von drei Phasen ziemlich unausgelastet sind und Platz für mehr Strom haben. Hört mal rein, ich habe einiges mitgenommen!

Stromprodukt der Woche
Net Metering reloaded: Vor Jahren war in Dänemark "net metering” möglich. Das Prinzip ist einfach: Wenn man mehr Strom erzeugt als verbraucht, läuft der Zähler rückwärts. Versteht wirklich jeder. Leider wurde das Konzept Opfer des eigenen Erfolgs und Ende 2012 wieder eingestampft. LichtBlick nimmt die Idee auf, nennt sie “StromWallet”, und im kommenden Jahr soll das in ganz Deutschland verfügbar sein.
